Our Mission Statement
To make SWPSG FC a club where children are safe at all times and to help make football an enjoyable, safe and fulfilling activity for all. To create a culture of respect for all people, openness and best practice to safeguard and protect the children and adults involved with the club.
We are a non profit making organisation and have no paid staff. All of our committee members and coaches give up their time for free to ensure all funding goes directly towards laying the foundations for present and future generations of girls football in the Saffron Walden area.
Our Club Rules are based on the Football Association template. We have a dedicated Welfare Officer to ensure our Safeguarding Policy is implemented and monitored. All adults involved with the club are DBS checked and we have at least one qualified FA Level 1 Coach per team.
We are affiliated to the Essex FA and have U16, U15, U14, U13, U12, U11, U10, U9 & U8 teams in the respective S-Tech Cambridgeshire Leagues .
What We Do
We provide a safe, fun, supportive and inclusive environment for school age girls of all abilities where they can develop their football and social skills, build personal confidence and improve personal fitness through participation in a team sport.
We actively promote a culture of teamwork, fair play and RESPECT for themselves, their teammates, the opposition and officials. We follow the FA RESPECT codes of conduct for Young Players, Spectators, Parents & Carers, Coaches, Team Managers, Club Officials and Referees. We encourage a friendly, positive, nurturing atmosphere where players are praised for their individual and collective achievements.
